Skimping on packaging costs.

Today we received a package for a female tenant. It's from Atlantic Bankcard Center, Inc., a company that sells credit card machines. But you wouldn't know it right away because the box they used to ship their product was this:

That's right. Atlantic Bankcard Center, Inc. apparently re-used a box of SUMMER'S EVE READY-TO-USE DISPOSABLE DOUCHEs to ship their product to a client. At first, I thought she had ordered a box of douches to work, which I thought demonstrated questionable judgement. I ran over to Molly's desk to consult. While we were inspecting the box, we found that on just one side, Atlantic Bankcard Center, aka Posregister.com, tried to cover up the Summer's Eve label with their own sticker, leaving SUMMER'S EVE READY-TO-USE DISPOSABLE DOUCHE still plainly visible to all of female tenant's fellow tenants on three sides. [#embarrassing] Molly googled Posregister.com, and that's when realized she had not ordered dozens of douches to work (thank goodness for that), but rather her credit card machine company had skimped on packaging costs by going behind their local Kroger's and rummaging through the recycling for old boxes.

When the tenant came to the desk later in the day to pick up her mail, Molly informed her she had a special delivery. When female tenant picked up the box she looked just at it as confused--and concerned--as we had. Then she awkwardly laughed and assured us that Posregister.com is a legit company and she wasn't trying to slyly order douches to work--or at all. (To be clear. #goodidea) Then, while Molly and the tenant and I were laughing about it at the desk, this kind of...uncomfortable tenant, "Marshall," came up and asked, "What'd y'all get me?" Each of us was like, "Um...", "Um....", "Um...." until the female tenant to whom it belonged offered him the box to see for himself. He laughed awkwardly and scurried away. Our tenant then carried her box of disposable douches down the hall to her office. She made sure to throw the box away in the community recycling, though, so that no one else could be mistaken about her order. Great call.
